It's been awhile since we've checked on our bean plants and they've been growing bigger than ever. The plants have started to bloom a little bit, which shows that they have been getting the necessary nutrients from the sun and soil. Being the producers they are, the bean plants have the ability to create their own food and energy from sunlight and as producers, they are also on the bottom of the ecological pyramid, where all producers are.
